STATEMENT OF FAITH
Our faith is founded on the Bible as the Holy infallible word of God. Its doctrine is contained in the three formularies of the unity of the Reformed Church, namely:
1. The Heidelberg Catechism
2. The Belgica Confession “Netherlands confession”, and
3. The Canons of Dordt.
In addition to the following Statement of Faith, the Church also upholds the Foundational Values of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour, is the sole and absolute authority in all matters of faith and practice. These are revealed in and through the divinely inspired Scriptures, both Old and New
Vision
To be a missionary and communal church that witnesses the Kingdom of God in Jesus Christ, bringing transformation to humankind.
Mission
Our mission is to exalt Jesus Christ in all that we think, say and do, and to extend His influence throughout the world by:
i. Proclaiming Christ’s Gospel with the expectation that supernatural signs will follow the normal New Testament pattern (Mark 16:15‐20)
ii. Planting Christ‐centred churches that are autonomous, interdependent moreover, self‐propagating (Acts 14:21‐28)
iii. Promoting Christ‐glorifying Christian communities which outwork the miraculous and character transforming ministry of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:42‐47);
iv. Producing Christ‐following disciples who seek to obey the Great Commandment and Great Commission (Matthew 22:36‐40, 28:18‐20).
